Retail lighting design
Tesco, St Stephen's Hull
LAPD was commissioned to design the lighting for the jewellery, accessory and shoe areas in the Tesco Extra at St Stephen’s Hull.
The brief was to create a new look for the display of the merchandise. Accent lighting suspended beneath the existing lighting layout highlights the products, creating contrast and differentiating the space. Above the jewellery, circular lighting rafts further delineate the space, adding visual interest. The jewellery desks and diamond display cases are internally backlit. This creates a clean, elegant feel.
The lighting solution has created a new standard for Tesco Clothing and has resulted in further commissions in the UK.
