Marks & Spencer’s first standalone eating offer – M&S Kitchen – opened in Canterbury in 2006.
The lighting design combines a contemporary feel with a warm atmosphere. General lighting is provided by dimmable compact fluorescent downlights. Cool 4000K lamps blend with the adjacent foodhall and create a contrast with the warmer accent lighting above the counter. Details such as hand blown glass luminaires and feature pendants add colour and vibrancy.

M&S Kitchen brings a British design aesthetic to café culture, bringing out the best in M&S food and presenting it in a way that builds on the M&S brand.
