LAPD created an exclusive lighting scheme for the Food Halls, with Basingstoke selected as the trial store. A contemporary interior is achieved using bespoke and standard equipment to create zones.
Food-to-go is about pace. Continuous fluorescent lines express tempo, while a variety of colours, temperatures, light levels and luminaires create zones within zones. Recessed fluorescent strips run in powerful lines, delineating the routes

through the cold chain to the back of the store. Adjustable downlights hug the fluorescent layout, offering feature lighting to lower shelves and standalone islands. The Home Department conveys a domestic feel, using backlit recessed coffers.
