Hobbs - Regent Street, London
The challenge was to create a new look to Hobbs, starting with the Regent Street store.
LAPD created a more intimate feel to the store by lowering light levels, reducing glare and creating more contrast to the lit effect.
On the ground floor any down-lighting was constrained to the overhead beams. In addition to the accent lighting, up-lighting to the vaulted ceiling enhances the small ground floor space.
Two reclaimed, refurbished lanterns hang above the stairs in front of the feature wall.
The low ceiling height in the basement was lifted using a subtle curved wall/ceiling feature to wash some light onto the ceiling.
