Security Kiosks - Canary Wharf           Client - Woodhouse UK plc

These security kiosks are designed and engineered  to integrate mechanical, telecommunication and electrical services for security barriers, as well as co-ordinating lighting and air conditioning for employee comfort.

The brief required a seamless construction, fabricated entirely in  316 stainless steel, which was then painted to match the clients specification.

LAPD worked closely with all of the sub-contractors, supplying glazing, air conditioning, lighting, doors and windows and assisted in the amalgamation of these continuant parts to create the finished product.   The floor of the kiosk can be removed to access the framework below that locates the kiosk in position. Air intake and exhaust, for the air conditioning units, project from the vaulted ceiling and are covered by a raised panel.

A divider plate separates the intake and exhaust to prevent recycling of the hot exhaust air. The condenser for the air conditioning is located in the vaulted canopy of the kiosk and is hidden by a false ceiling, which also houses the recessed lighting units.   Water drainage from the condenser is channelled through the framework of the kiosk and is deposited at ground level to drain away.
