This exhibition was devoted to the revolutionary approach to landscape painting introduced to Britain in the 1850s by the Pre-Raphaelites.
It included the landscapes of John Everett Millais, William Holman Hunt and Ford Madox Brown and showed their passion for the natural world, the scientific and religious ideas of the day, and the theories of John Ruskin.
Works in various media were displayed alongside each other and so a unique blend of lighting was employed to ensure the

solution enhanced both the artwork and the public experience throughout the six spaces. Successful commissioning was also crucial – this was carried out by LAPD’s specialist team.
