Security Kiosks, Canary Wharf
Client: Woodhouse UK plc
The kiosks integrate mechanical, electrical and telecommunications services for the security barriers, as well as lighting and air conditioning for employee comfort.
Fabricated in stainless steel, the kiosks are painted to match the client’s specification. LAPD worked with the subcontractors supplying the glazing, air conditioning, lighting, doors and windows, and assisted in integrating these elements.
The floor can be removed to access the framework below
that fixes the kiosk in position. Air intake and exhaust chimneys, for the air conditioning units, project from the ceiling and are covered by a raised panel. The condenser is hidden by a false ceiling, which also houses the recessed lighting units.
