The 12-storey St David’s Hotel & Spa is Wales’s first purpose-built five-star hotel. A landmark building overlooking Cardiff Bay, it includes 136 bedrooms, a swimming pool and a health and fitness centre. When daylight fades the atrium is lit from above by high-output projectors that cast light through the glass ceiling. Architectural ‘wings’ above the building form a major part of the striking external lighting solution.
