Diverse lighting design
Notting Hill Village, London, W11
LAPD designed the solution for the reception of building six, and the exterior lighting for buildings six and seven of Notting Hill Village, a substantial mixed-use development.
Within the reception an industrial feel has been created through surface mounted fittings and materials with an unfinished quality.
Three-watt narrow beam LED projectors downlight the exterior columns from the roof edge. This creates a crown effect visible from the A40 and the Westfield Shopping Centre without any upward light spill.
The previous exterior lighting proposal used a total wattage of 2.5kW. LAPD’s energy efficient solution uses 100W. Costs have been reduced and BREEAM credentials improved.
