Diverse lighting design
Ayr Central
i10 design was commissioned to develop a large open-air pedestrian promenade at Ayr Central Shopping Centre. A provisional lighting scheme featuring Woodhouse products was produced. LAPD was then introduced as a sub-consultant to confirm the design intent and add some ‘wow’ factors.
Blue LED beacon lights attract attention, while colour changing lighting adds drama to the soffit. Further interest is created by Ayr Central’s Celtic logo – this is etched on to glass and backlit.
Pencil beams of light from wall mounted luminaires complement the architecture of the external walls, while exterior lanterns and amenity columns further develop the lit environment.
